Alongside content sent in voluntarily by students, Experiential Global Learning gives students the opportunity to earn scholarship money to develop social media content in their study abroad location! This brand new scholarship opportunity is called the Global Curators Scholarship! The Global Curators Scholarship provides $250 for students who are interested in sharing their study abroad experience with current and prospective UConn study abroad students. Scholars will provide Experiential Global Learning with content that will be shared across our social media platforms (@UConn.Global).
The goal of the Global Curators Scholarship is to share relevant and relatable content from the student perspective. As a Curator, their posts will be a resource for other Huskies to learn about their unique perspective on studying abroad, the program they participated in, and more! Scholarship recipients will be required to submit an EGL Takeover, an EGL Student Spotlight, submit photos or videos from their time abroad, share advice to a future EGL student and submit a project of their own design.
This Experiential Global Learning scholarship is available to students during the term they are abroad. Students interested in applying for this scholarship will need to complete an application. The application link and details will be sent via email after the application deadline for each term. Scholarships are available for all terms. This scholarship can be applied to the costs of any type of UConn-approved program and can cover Program Fees, Study Abroad Fees, Tuition, and other program-related costs as long as they are billed through UConn.
