Program Pre-Approved Courses
Students can review a list of pre-approved courses for programs of interest.
To note as the spreadsheets are reviewed:
- These lists are a moment in time, although on the pre-approved list they may not be offered the term you are abroad, may over-enroll and not be available to students
- Check the Pre-Requisites for the course abroad and if you were to receive it here at UConn
- You are NOT guaranteed to enroll in any of the courses approved on these lists

Course Alignment
If you want to seek approval for a course that is not listed in the Course Search, you will need to complete a Course Alignment Form.
For General Education Course Substitutions, your school or college will decide if specific courses can be used to fulfill General Education requirements. You will need to individually petition your school for the substitution. For more information, visit our General Education Substitutions page.
Many courses taken overseas may meet the criteria for the Minor in International Studies. To access more information, visit our Minors in Area Studies page.
Please note that faculty departmental evaluators must assign all Experiential Global Learning courses corresponding UConn course numbers before they can be posted and later considered for any major, minor, elective, or General Education credit.
