Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile

Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC), a member of Universitas 21, was founded on June 21, 1888.  It is one of Chile’s oldest universities, as well as one of the most recognized educational institutions in Latin America.  It has 18 Schools distributed on four campus in Santiago and one regional campus located in southern Chile.  Approximately 21,000 students participate in its undergraduate and graduate programs, which cover a wide range of disciplines and professional schools.

The university’s leadership in research and graduate programs has had considerable influence on the country’s cultural and scientific development.  It is an important national center of research in social sciences, health, economics, engineering, agriculture, philosophy, theology and arts.
